Head of Sales, Marketing, Events, and Social Media

Garden Path Fermentation is looking for a skilled spokesperson and event organizer to help us connect with our audience and to get the word out about who we are and what we do.

We’re a Skagit Valley based brewery, winery, and cidery, working entirely with locally sourced ingredients to make products that don’t always fit neatly into predefined categories, but that are uniquely expressive of our corner of Northwest Washington. We focus on making things that, while complex, are also highly approachable, with a strong emphasis on balance and nuance.

We sell our products both in and out of state through a combination of self and third party distribution and regularly participate in a number of international festivals and events. In addition to our own products, our onsite tasting room and bottle shop also features a range of often hard to find beer, wine, cider, and other specialty products from small, independent producers around the world.

As we enter our eighth year of operation and find ourselves contending with an ever-changing marketplace, we are looking to expand our local reach and introduce new customers to what we do and are looking for an individual with the passion and skills to help us accomplish this to join our small, tight-knit team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Direct sales to trade
  • Distributor sales and support
  • Scheduling and tracking regular account visits and email communications
  • Scheduling, executing, and personally working on- and off-site events
  • Orchestrating product releases
  • Consumer outreach
  • Social media planning and content
  • Monitoring product sell-through, and providing feedback to help guide production.
  • Coordinating with other team members and helping out in other areas, as needed.
  • Serving, at all times, as a public representative of our company.

Qualified candidates must have proven sales experience as well as outstanding communication and organizational skills.

Compensation for this position is commission based with a guaranteed minimum hourly base of $18.50 to $25.00 an hour, depending on experience, plus mileage reimbursement, health insurance reimbursement, and a profit-sharing plan.

If this all sounds exciting and you think you might be the right fit, please send a cover letter and current résumé to jobs@gardenpathwa.com

Located in the beautiful Skagit Valley in Northwest Washington, with its uniquely fertile soils and cool, temperate climate, Garden Path is one of very few producers in the world that’s able to make beer, wine, cider, and mead, all using ingredients sourced from our own backyard, and may be the only one to do so using only native yeast fermentation.

Garden Path Fermentation is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes all qualified applicants, irrespective of race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, and/or any other protected category under state and/or federal law.
